NASA has postponed the August 25th launch of the space shuttle Discovery until August 26th because of a quick last-minute storm that had formed near Cape Canaveral. There are three other launch windows over the next few days and NASA has given the launch this week a 96% chance of having a successful one.
This STS-128 mission will deliver over 7 tons of cargo, food, and supplies to the International Space Station. Of the cargo that is being sent up is a COLBERT treadmill which will allow the crew on board the space station to get their exercise in while in zero gravity.
Stott will take the place of Tim Kopra, who moved into the station during STS-127. Pilot Kevin Ford and Mission Specialists Patrick Forrester, Jose Hernandez, John "Danny" Olivas and Sweden's Christer Fuglesang round out the crew.
