AMD Releases Athlon64 X2 7750 Black Edition CPU

AMD has released two new CPU's for the Athlon64 X2 line, one clocked at 2.5GHz model 7750 and an unlocked Black Edition chip clocked at 2.7GHz. These will more than likely be the last pair of dual-core Athlon chips manufacture with the 65nm process as their new 45nm fab technology has already been producing chips.

The chips have 512KB of level 2 cache on each core and 2MB of shared level 3 cache memory. The 7750 locked OEM chip sells only to PC manufactures but the Black Edition will have a list price of $79 USD.
