Twitter Users Target of New Phishing Scam

If you're a Twitter user, then you are vulnerability to a phishing scam just like all of the rest the web. Malicious users are taking advantage of the new multiple login service to scam users into giving their password away. Messages directly to users are showing up in Twitter accounts urging users to visit a web site on blogspot.com The text is, "hey! check out this funny blog about you..." The URL in the message then redirects to a page that looks like the Twitter login page, but is actually not on Twitter it's a site, twitter.access-logins.com, that masquerades as Twitter to steal your login credentials instead.

The site looks exactly like the real Twitter site except the address bar link will not be twitter.com. Most slightly above average user should notice this and hopefully you are running some anti-phishing software on your computer.

As always, don't click on links from people you don't know.
