Dish Network VIP 922 Terabyte HD-DVR with Embedded Slingbox

Watch out DirecTV, satellite TV provider Dish Network has a SlingBox up their sleeve. At CES, Dish Network showed off a new digital video recorder (DVR) on Thursday that will allow their subscribers to watch their recorded shows or movies on any Internet-enabled device. The HD capable DVR features the Slingbox technology, but it's embedded within the DVR itself - no external box is required.

The Slingbox allows you to connect to your DVR, in this case, to access any recorded programs that you have. You can do this from a hotel room if you're traveling, a friends house if you are at a party, or from your work if you're the owner or boss. You can even watch the recorded shows from any computer in your house. Perhaps you have a home office without a TV? Just launch your web browser and you can start watching your recorded shows from the night before.

In addition to the new Slingbox feature, the DVR also has a 1 Terabyte hard drive. The 1TB hard drive will give you plenty of space to record all of the HD content you want, within reason of course.
