California Teen Sends 14,528 Texts Last Month

Luckily a California man didn't wake up the next morning to a $2,900 phone bill, thanks to unlimited messaging but that could have been the reality if he didn't have the unlimited option on his Daughters wireless phone. According to the press, the Dad discovered that his 13-year-old daughter sent a whopping average of 484 text messages every DAY last month. This works out to be about a message every 2 minutes of every waking hour!

His daughter, Reina sent 14,528 text messages last month and generated a 440-page cell phone bill. The majority of the messages were sent to four of her close girl friends ages 12 and 13. "First, I laughed. I thought, 'That's insane, that's impossible,'" said Hardesty, an Orange County Register journalist. "And I immediately whipped out the calculator to see if it was humanly possible."

If the father didn't have the unlimited text messaging plan, his bill would have succeeded $2,900 USD at a rate of 20 cents per message. Since the enormous bill, the Dad has placed a no texting after Dinner restriction on his Daughters cellphone use.
