Amazon Kindle E-Book Reader Coming Today?

We all know by now that Amazon is releasing a new version of its Kindle e-book reader, and apparently it is happening today according to the Wall street Journal. Amazon is also expected to say it has acquired a new work by best-selling novelist Stephen King that will be available exclusively, on Kindle. This makes you wonder if Amazon could soon begin taking market share away from the brick and mortars?

There still isn't a lot known about the new Kindle, other than it might be much thinner, a bit smaller, better battery life, and a few more features. The pricing is expected to be around the same price of the existing Kindle.

The Amazon Kindle is an e-book reader, an embedded system for reading electronic books (e-books), launched in the United States by prominent online bookseller Amazon.com in November 2007. It uses an electronic paper display and downloads content over Amazon Whispernet using the Sprint EVDO network. The Kindle can be used without a computer, and Whispernet is accessible without any fee.
