Samsung M8910 Pixon12 - A 12 Megapixel Camera Phone

Samsung today unveiled a new touchscreen phone with a whopping 12-megapixel camera, the Pixon12 which upgrade the original Pixon camera phone. The Pixon-12 comes packed with a 28mm wide-angle lens, Xeon flash, and a 3.1-inch AMOLED display with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio.

One really nice feature is the ability to autofocus specific points in the camera's view simply by touching on the area of the screen where you want to focus-in on.

The Pixon12 doesn't stop at photo's either, it can record 720x480 videos at 30 frame per second, which should be plenty for most point and shoot video.

Connectivity-wise, the Pixon12 has a 3G connection over full HSPA and it also has Wi-Fi for area's that may not have cellular coverages. The Pixon12 also comes with a built-in GPS and microSDHC storage. You'll also find that the phone has Bluetooth as well as a FM radio with RDS.

As for availability, the Pixon12 will be released at the end of June to European and will reach other markets around October. Prices for the Pixon 12 have not yet been set.
