NASA gave Space Shuttle Endeavour a "Go" for launch to send a seven-person crew to the International Space Station on Saturday.
Mission management team chief, Mike Moses said "We're in really good shape to fly". He also said that the entire team gave a "good unanimous Go for launch".
The STS-127 mission will allow Endeavour's crew to install a platform to one end of the Japanese Kibo laboratory on the station. The platform will hold experiments designed to work outside the protective confines of the station.
Today, the crew is sleeping to prepare for their nocturnal mission schedule in space. The crew will awake tonight around 8:00PM EDT to conduct practice flights in NASA's T-38 training jet.
According to NASA weather specialists, the Shuttle should have a near perfect launch day in terms of weather for the 7:17AM launch. If the launch were to be delayed, the next windows of opportunity would be Sunday or the Monday.
