Apple iPhone 3.1 OS Update Released

Not more than two weeks ago, Apple released the iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade to the public and now they have just released the iPhone OS 3.1 update to developers. The new beta build 7C97D for iPhone OS 3.1 has no official changes as of yet but reports suggest that it makes both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS much speedier moving around in the operating system.

Supposedly there is a new feature in Safari called, "Fraud Warning" which warns users when visiting phishing and other fraudulent websites on their phone. There's also a new feature for the iPhone 3G S that allows you to "save a copy" when editing video, rather than overwriting the original copy.

Voice control over bluetooth now works on the iPhone 3GS which can come in real handy for future native OS applications from Apple as well as third party support.

With Apple's iPhone 3.1 OS already in developers hands, it makes me wonder how soon we'll see the iPhone 3.2 OS update? Perhaps Apple is planning to provide updates more often now? It certainty would make them money since iPod Touch users must pay for the updates.

If you try out the new version, let us know what you think and any new improvements that you find.
