Motorola’s twitter account today mentioned that the company’s Moto 360 smartwatch is facing delay issues on the rollout of the latest Android update, Lollipop 5.1.1.
Performance issues with the Android Wear software was the reason given in the tweet, which also said Motorola is working in collaboration with Google to straighten out the issues.
The 5.1.1 update has been greatly anticipated, as it will deliver Wifi support to the Moto 360 smart watch.
Responding to a question concerning the update rollout for the Moto 360. “Performance is not quite there yet,” Motorola tweeted. The fact that the company is acknowledging the issue gives some hope for 360 owners and is a sign that some progress is being made.
Then again maybe all those reviews complaining about Motorola using a five year old CPU in the smartwatch had a point after all?
